Lokihub

Lokihub acts as the high-availability relay backbone and network bridge for the Zapf ecosystem.

Zapf's federated model relies heavily on the fast, reliable transmission and querying of complex Nostr events (specifically Kind 35521 and Kind 35522). Lokihub provides the essential infrastructure to make this process seamless for client applications.

Nostr Relay Operations

Lokihub operates a cluster of high-performance Nostr relays specifically optimized to index and serve Identity Connections and Attestations.

When a user's client performs a Deep Check verification, it must rapidly query an IA's relay to ensure an attestation hasn't been revoked. By default, zapf.app utilizes Lokihub nodes to ensure these queries return in milliseconds globally, preventing UI stuttering when resolving handles.

Address Bridge (NIP-05)

Beyond relay operations, Lokihub provides crucial NIP-05 resolution services.

When a user signs up for the Zapf dashboard and verifies a Legacy Identity Provider (LIDP), Lokihub provisions a human-readable NIP-05 identifier (e.g., user@zapf.app).

This allows users to interact with standard, native Nostr clients (like Damus, Amethyst, or Primal) using a simple username instead of an unwieldy Nprofile or hex public key, while still seamlessly receiving zaps directed at their underlying Discord or Email identities.
